It was comprehensively redesigned to become a vacation retreat offered by The Urban Nest North County. The designer's signature style shows in this historic coastal bungalow fused with a modern industrial twist.
PROPERTY OVERVIEW
Originally built in 1939 and under new, top-notch management, this single-story vacation retreat boasts hardwood floors, an open floor plan, luxury bedding, a full kitchen, stylist furnishings throughout, fenced in yard, outdoor dining patio with a fire table, and beach equipment! The CEO of The Urban Nest is one of the top designers in Southern California, and her signature style shows. The CFO of the company has spent his 20-year career as an executive within the luxury hotel space. Together it is their goal to deliver unique design, blended with authentic hospitality, to each and every guest!
LIVING AREA
- Every opportunity to bring in natural light through windows and doors was taken in this home design!
- Recline on a comfortable sofa and two stylish armchairs in the living room while watching a movie on the 45” flat screen smart TV.
- Television content is provided via YouTube TV, with access to over 50 channels, and DVR service on all TVs in the house. Complimentary Netflix is intended to round out the selection of viewing options for guests of all ages.
- The home is fully equipped with a new HVAC system including air conditioning, which keeps guests in control of their comfort throughout the year. Please note, that air conditioning is very difficult to find in the area as historic homes present a challenge to installing. Through some fine engineering, we are proud to say that we got it in.
- Complimentary, up to 300Mb, high-speed Wi-Fi is available for Guest Use.
KITCHEN & DINING
- The kitchen is adorned with butcher block countertops and upgraded stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher.
- A Keurig machine with complimentary coffee and condiments await guests.
- Kitchen is fully equipped with everything guests may need to enjoy their stay, including grilling tools and a pizza stone for chilly nights or our smallest guest.

- This home accommodates six guests between two bedrooms and a memory form, queen-size sofa sleeper.
- The full bathroom is stocked complete with a complimentary 5-piece set of toiletries intended to pamper our guests.

- The master bedroom features a king-size bed complete with luxurious down bedding and a signature mattress from the world’s largest luxury hotel.
- Bedrooms feature open chrome wired closets for ease of access to luggage and the guest belongings.
- All bedrooms have a 45” flat screen smart TV to appease every guest viewing preference.
- The memory form, queen-size sleeper sofa and darkening window treatments in the living room is intended to ensure the 5th-6th person a quality night’s sleep.
- Ample, high quality linens along with beach towels are provided for guest use.
OUTDOOR AREA
- A fenced yard with a low front patio allow adults and children to enjoy the Cali sunshine and beautiful sunsets.

Need bikes or boards? Don't rent them! This home provides two beach cruiser bikes with helmets, two boogie boards, two beach chairs, a beach umbrella, sand toys, a small cooler, and a wagon to tote it all to the famous oceanside pier beach.
LAUNDRY
An in-unit, full-size washer/dryer with complimentary detergent are provided for guest use.
PARKING
- Plenty of Street parking is available on a first come, first served basis subject to the following restrictions due to street sweeping:
- The East side is no parking between 9am-12pm on 1st and 3rd Monday.
- The West side is no parking between 6am-9am on the 1st and 3rd Monday.
- On-site parking will be provided when the second home is completed at the rear of the property. Stay tuned!
KEYLESS ENTRY
This home is equipped with a smart lock. Upon arrival, guests can easily access the home with a keyless secure door code. Please note, the access code is time-sensitive. As such, it operates the lock only at or after 3:00p on your arrival date and will not work after 11:00a on your check-out date.
